We couldn't have asked for a better pair to document this day! They captured the magic using playful photography techniques. I love how they narrate a love story through their camera lens.
The Venue
This Southern Alberta wedding venue uniquely blends a country and coastal beach vibe. During our initial visit to The Crossing at Ghost River, we discovered several potential spots for a wedding shoot. However, the moment I saw the river house, inspiration struck. I envisioned combining the rustic charm of an Alberta wedding with the beloved coastal beach feel of summer. It was evident that this location was perfect. Nestled at the property's edge along a secluded stretch of the Ghost River, the river house offers stunning views from every angle. The fully covered pavilion accommodates 50-65 guests and features a remarkable Riverstone fireplace and an open layout, allowing for endless creative possibilities.
Attire
We chose attire with a light, beachy theme. Casey-Lee Hair and Makeup crafted the ideal natural beach waves and makeup. The bride wore a custom white wrap dress, while the groom donned khakis and a white linen shirt. The bridal bouquet, designed by Adventure Floral, was an airy, textured arrangement with dried elements to enhance the rustic/country ambiance.
The Details
Rentals from Modern Rentals, the table featured rustic blue goblets, river stone plates, and two-toned white and gold cutlery on wicker rounds. Each guest's plate held a sea glass name card and a lovely menu from Seeking Light studio. Driftwood accented the soft blue gauze runner, accompanied by textured cream candles and oyster shell votives. Wicker lanterns with greenery provided lighting and height, enhancing the coastal theme.
The Sweets
Seashell and sand dollar sugar cookies adorned the table, along with individual cakes with edible sea glass from Black Dog Bakery.
